Irish Americans are being invited to take part in a “National Organizing Call” hosted by the Harris-Walz campaign.
The call is set for Tuesday evening, August 13 at 8 p.m. Eastern.

The invitation from the Democratic presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate encourages supporters to “take part in an evening of celebration of the achievements and contributions of Irish Americans to our nation, as we look ahead to how the Irish American community will play a major role in electing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
Stated a release: “Thousands of Irish Americans from across the nation are expected to join in a strong show of support for Vice President Harris and Governor Walz.
“The call is set to feature campaign leadership, elected officials, and celebrity guests who will all stress the critical importance of the Irish American community’s involvement, in what the Harris-Walz campaign sees as a key fixture of their winning coalitions.
“The list of speakers, ranging from Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey, to Congressman Brendan Boyle, to House of Cards star Michael Kelly, is set to highlight the broad and diverse range of support that the Vice President Harris has gained a mere three weeks after launching her campaign.”
The list of speakers on the call is still being expanded but the following have been confirmed: New Jersey Governor; Phil Murphy, former Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe, Special Envoy for Northern Ireland Joe Kennedy III, Congressman Tim Kennedy, Congressman Brendan Boyle, Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon, Deputy Campaign Manager Rob Flaherty, DNC Treasurer Virginia McGregor, Lynda Carter, Rory Kennedy and Michael Kelly.
